Terms for the Moomin Arabia Home mug lottery at selected stores

 

Effective date: 2 December 2024

These terms (“Terms”) govern the lottery (“Lottery”), which is carried out at selected Moomin Arabia stores. The prize is a right to purchase a Moomin Arabia Home mug (“Product”) at a purchase price of £149.

By entering the Lottery, the individual wishing to participate in the Lottery (“Participant”) agrees to be bound by the Terms.

 

1. Organizer of the Lottery

The Lottery is organized:

• In Finland by Fiskars Finland Oy Ab, Keilaniementie 10, 02150 Espoo, Finland
• In Norway by Fiskars Norway AS, Lørenfaret 1C, 0585 Oslo (P.O Box 4386, 0402 Oslo), Norway
• In Sweden by Fiskars Sweden AB, Kungsbroplan 3, 112 27 Stockholm, Sweden

Each above-mentioned entity is later referred to as“Organizer”.

 

2. Time of the Lottery and how to participate

The Lottery is arranged for Moomin Arabia Family members. A member can participate the Lottery by visiting the following Moomin Arabia stores during the times of the Lottery and dropping participation form into a specified Lottery box.

• Finland: Moomin Arabia Store, Esplanad (Pohjoisesplanadi 23, 00100, Helsinki)
• Norway: Moomin Arabia Store, Sandvika Storsenter 1. Etasje (Brodtkorbsgate 7, 1338 Sandvika)
• Sweden: Moomin Arabia Store Göteborg (Vallgatan 22, 411 16 Göteborg)
• Sweden: Moomin Arabia Store, Westfield Mall of Scandinavia, Plan 0 (Stjärntorget 2, 169 79 Solna)

Five (5) Lotteries will be arranged at each above-mentioned store. One winner will be drawn by each store per each Lottery.

Time of each Lottery is listed below. Entries will be accepted during the below mentioned timeline within the open hours of each above listed store. Please note that the open hours vary between the stores and the stores may not be open on all below listed days.

Entries for the five Lottery rounds will be accepted:

1. From 2^nd  December 2024 to 31^st December 2024
2. From 1^st January 2025 to 31^st March 2025
3. From 1^st April 2025 to 30^th June 2025
4. From 1^st July 2025 to 30^th September 2025
5. From 1^st October 2025 to 31^st December 2025

 

3. Who can participate

All Moomin Arabia Family members who are residents of Finland, Sweden or Norway and 18 years or older are eligible to participate in the Lottery. The Organizer reserves the right to verify any Participant’s eligibility and reject Participants at its sole discretion. Organizer’s employees and external workforce and their family members may not enter the Lottery.

There is a limit of one (1) entry per person per each Lottery in that particular store. The Lottery is completely free to enter (no fee or purchase is required to participate in the Lottery).

 

4. The Prize and delivery of the prize

The winner of each Lottery will be chosen by a random draw at each above-mentioned store within three (3) days after the time to enter in the Lottery has closed. The winners will be contacted by email within three (3) days after the draw. The winner must answer to the email within 7 days after the email has been sent and claim their prize (purchase the Product at the store where winner participated the Lottery) in 14 days after answering to the email. If winner does not answer to the email or does not claim the prize within the specified time or if they return the Product, they forfeit their right to the prize, and Organizer reserves the right to draw and announce a new winner. Organizer’s decision regarding any aspect of the Lottery and the draw is final and binding.

The winning prize will be a right to purchase the Product at a purchase price of 189,90€. The winner can claim the prize (purchase the Product) by visiting the store at which they participated the Lottery. Winner must show their ID card and the email informing about the win at the store when claiming the prize.

The prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable, and no cash alternatives will be provided. Organizer will pay such possible taxes that it is responsible for as an Organizer of the Lottery. Participant is responsible for any taxes applicable to Participant.

 

5. Data protection and publicity

If you choose to participate in the Lottery, your personal data will be processed for the purposes of carrying out the Lottery. Inserting first name, last name and email address to the Lottery form is required to participate in the Lottery. Participant is responsible for the correctness of the provided personal data.

Personal data is also processed for the purposes of contacting the winners of the Lottery and when the prize is claimed by the winners. Winner’s identity and Moomin Arabia Family membership is checked when winner claims the prize. First and last name of the winners will be published on Moominarabia.com and Moomin Arabia Newsletter. By claiming the prize, winners give their permission for Organizer to publish such personal data.

Personal data is primarily processed based on contract (these Terms). Personal data may also be processed to comply with possible legal obligations (tax and accounting law requirements). 6. Liability

The Organizer is not liable for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any Participants as a result of participating in the Lottery or being drawn for a prize. The Organizer is not liable for damages caused by third parties or reasons not attributable to the Organizer (such as interruption of the Lottery or damages attributable to a failure in network connections/communications). The Organizer accepts no responsibility whatsoever for damage or loss resulting from late, misdirected or incomplete submissions. By taking part in the Lottery the Participant warrants that all information submitted is true, current and complete at the time of submission.

 

Nothing in these Terms limits, excludes or modifies, or purports to limit, exclude or modify, the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under applicable mandatory consumer laws.

 

7. Changes to the Lottery or Terms

The Organizer reserves the right to change the Lottery and Terms or to terminate the Lottery. The Organizer will notify the Participants through the Lottery marketing channels if the Organizer needs to make material changes to the Lottery, dates, availability or other factors or if Organizer decides to terminate the Lottery. The Organizer reserves the right to change the Lottery and Terms in a way that does not have a material impact on Participants without prior notice to Participants.

 

8. Governing law

Unless otherwise required by applicable mandatory law, these Terms shall be governed by:

• the laws of Finland exclusive its choice-of-law rules and principles regarding the Lottery arranged in Finland
• the laws of Norway exclusive its choice-of-law rules and principles regarding the Lottery arranged in Norway
• the laws of Sweden exclusive its choice-of-law rules and principles regarding the Lottery arranged in Sweden
