Together for good – Discover Japan-exclusive Home at Last collection

For eighty years, love, family, and togetherness have been at the heart of Moomin stories. Celebrating the Moomin 80 anniversary, Moomin Arabia’s new, Japan-exclusive Home at Last collection tells a story of being reunited for home and humanity. And it carries an important cause: For each item sold, 1 € is donated to support the humanitarian work of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

In today's world, the Moomins remind us of the importance of openness and embracing diversity. Moominhouse along with the Moomin family always welcome everyone with warmth, understanding, and a sense of belonging. With the Home at last collection we celebrate inclusivity and togetherness in the warm embrace of the Moomin family. 
 

Touching illustrations of a happy family reunion

The new collection's touching illustrations are inspired by Tove Jansson’s comic Moomin and Family Life (1955) and brought to life by Moomin Arabia’s illustrator, Parvati Pillai. 

The story is about Moomintroll, who has always dreamed of having a family. One day, his wishes come true when Moominmamma and Moominpappa save him from distress at sea and realise Moomintroll is their long-lost son. After a long time apart, the Moomin family is finally reunited, finding their way back home and back to each other.

The main illustration shows the Family’s happy reunion. The family's home, the blue round Moominhouse, is standing in the background with welcoming smoke rising from the chimney. 

On the turn side of the bigger Moomin mug, we see Little My and a little creature called Shadow, who’s often seen in the Moomin comics tagging along in the Moomins’ adventures.
 

A collection for shared mo(o)ments all year round

The collection delights Moomin Arabia collectors and Moomin fans in Japan with a classic 0,3-litre mug, a minimug and a miniplate in shades of light blue and pink. It also includes a handy thermo bottle as well as a canvas lunch bag and tote bag. A selection of cute little items like fans, mini towels, and tenugui, will also be available exclusively in Japan. Use them to bring joy to your everyday dining mo(o)ments and home activities or take them with you for picnics with family and friends. Everyone’s invited!

All items will become available from 6th of March exclusively in Japan from Moomin Arabia Stores and Moominarabia.com/jp during the Moomin 80 anniversary year only, as well as at the Japanese Red Cross Society’s stand at the Osaka Expo between 13 April to 13 October 2025 in Osaka, Kansai.
